Theykept the popular horseshoe and chevron, allowing for fast target engagements at close quarters, but have replaced the old line grid with a new MIL-dot matrix allowing for more precise holdover references with even less clutter. For especially long range shooting, the dot matrix extends a full 15 MILs below the center of the reticle, allowing for not just holdovers, but faster recovery should the first shot miss.
